'Carving Tip of the Week'
will show you how to increase your artistic ability and
how to run a successful carving
business.
My name is Chuck Hall. I'm a veteran wood-carver, and I'd
like to share my experience.
Artists, and especially wood-carvers, get isolated in their
craft, and find it difficult to learn new things from the
artist community....
You are so busy carving, you
simply don't have the time to network with your
peers!
There are so many ideas out there about carving, sculpting,
wood products and tools. I stumble onto them everyday, and
sometimes I like to share. I find that getting the skinny on
wood carving from a fellow carver is the best way to learn new
things, and help keep my chops up!
BUT.... It's not
just
MY experiences that I will
share...
I also pass on tips that I have gathered from the ends of
the earth; wood-carvers from all over the globe will be sharing
tips with you about every aspect of wood-carving...from 'chip
carving' to tool sharpening.
I often use tips that I have learned from carving greats
that I studied under. Sometimes the tips are mine, sometimes I
have learned them from fellow carvers.
The tips you get will absolutely help
you cut that
learning curve...
Many people start off with a Bang in wood-carving, only to
lose interest soon thereafter, because they have not been
encouraged by other carvers! This weekly Tip is designed to
keep you on track, and help you learn much, much faster than if
you went it alone!
Watch me
actually perform the task
I often
will include videos or step-by-step
photos...
For example, I'll take you through a
video-lesson series of how-to-carve various objects, from
full-sized busts to small wood spirits. You'll get the whole
story on carving, and you'll see it step-by-step.....just like
being there!
So, you can see exactly how to perform the tip.
It's never just boring data, that's for sure. After all, what
fun is a boring hobby?
So, just enter
your info below. I'll send out your first "Carving Tip Of The
Week"
PS: I will also show
you how to earn money as a wood-carver. You'll be able to learn
things here that you'd never know if you remained
self-taught.
I know a lot of wood carvers.... and a big portion of them
display their work at art shows, art stores, craft shops, flea
markets, etc, etc.... and FEW of them are happy with their
results.
Why is that? Why is it that SOME artists get the sale, and
the rest just get to break-even, or (heaven forbid) LOSE
MONEY???
I have been through both sides of the market. I have
displayed at art shows, festivals, stores, shops,
markets.....it seems like I have tried it all.... maybe not,
but it sure seems that way.
In the Art Business, there are easy ways to spend lots of
money and not ever get a fair return on your investment
dollars.
It's as bad as being in the restaurant business; easy
to lose money fast.

There are 52 Tips sent out every year (at
least). I can assure you that you'll be up and carving in no
time, if you are a beginner.
If you are an old salt, you'll enjoy reading about my
mishaps along the way. Yes, I have made mistakes, and so have
all the other carvers that I quote in the series and lessons. I
believe (I really do) that the best teacher is a
mistake......and I'll show you how to turn mistakes into
viable, beautiful sculptures!
So, fill in the form, and let's get started right away. I am
certain that you will enjoy the Tips!
I do NOT
sell, lease or share the list with anyone at all! I use a
professional, reputable email service that has the
'unsubscribe' function right on the page every time. If you
don't like the free service, then you need not receive
it!
